As a beginner, when you prepare to get a new printer, what's the key point, speed? enclosed? core xy? Marlin or klipper?and screen? price?
What's the important point for a 3d printer beginner
Downdy
In my experience, they are in order of importance:
- The price. This may be confusing for the newbie but this is most the important thing you need to think about at first. You should set a price range then it won't be over what you can afford.
- Structure. Then you can continue to choose the gantry printer or core-xy printer within your price range.
- LCD screen. Absolutely the LCD screen is friendly to the newbie. If you have an LCD panel of the printer then it is easy to understand and control your printer.
- Good user manual, warranty, technical support, and community. You don't know what will happen when you are using the printer, especially at the start as a newbie. If the printer brand can provide these then you don't need to worry about this.
These points are not the most important but you may need to know:
- Marlin or Klipper. Klipper can support more features and it is more flexible to control your printer. But for this point, the newbie no needs to think about this but cares about the quality of the printing.
- Speed. Speed is not in the first place. The newbie can print successfully is the most important thing. If the newbie failed serval times then they will give up directly. Printing at a low speed when the newbie at starts will increase the printing success percentage.
Since 2022, we can see more and more brands of printers joining the speed contest. Bambu lab, Anker m5, Flsun, etc. But the key point is the price. If you can afford them (the price of them is a bit expensive) then choose these will be a good choice.
