Dryer box USB port

The dryer box has a USB 2.0 port on the back, next to the DC in port. What's it for? Other than it's existence there's nothing in the user manual referring to it's purpose.

This is a reserved port. Currently, it is mainly used by GratKit to detect whether the motherboard function is normal. It is temporarily useless to users.

The use of keyword "temporarily" seems to suggest that something may be added in the future.
Does that mean that control via USB may eventually be added?

I think it would be great to have the ability to control via USB, since it is literally sitting inches away from my Octoprint. (I wouldn't even mind coding that part myself)
No need for wifi configuration or unnecessary cloud integration.

I personally dislike any cloud-IoT platforms and I don't plan on ever using Tuya features.
