If you can control the time then the surface will be smooth but it won't affect the inside of the prints.
It means its structure won't change so you don't need to worry about it.
I have tried to use the hot air gun to decrease the stringing of the PLA prints.
If we don't stay at the same point for a long time then we can get a good result. I think you can refer to this. Hope this will be helpful🙂
